EMILY BEAMON
Clinical Programs Methodologist
Dr. Emily R. Beamon holds two master’s degrees (in clinical psychology and public health), and a PhD in Public Health. She began her career as a clinical psychologist, with a specialization in the treatment of addiction. She has worked clinically within a diverse range of settings including outpatient treatment (for children and adults), substance use treatment for college students, VA clinics, as well as the North Carolina Department of Corrections.
While her personal interests lie in substance use and mental health disparities, she is also a public health scientist. Shifting out of clinical spaces, Emily spent a number of years in program development, evaluation, and data analytics for a variety of health programs and federally-funded projects.
Dr. Beamon currently lives in North Carolina and enjoys spending time with her two Australian Shepherds, Jim and Dwight.
