BRIGHTEN CRAWFORD-MARTIN
AKA Evaluation Associate
Brighten Crawford-Martin is married to her best friend, Kaden, together they live in Idaho with their two dogs. She is a member of the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux tribes. She received her Bachelor's degree of Science in Public Health from Brigham Young University-Idaho. She has certificates in program planning and implementation, community health methods and evaluation, and epidemiology. Brighten first joined the AKA team in May 2021 as an intern. She has worked on various projects that include research, evaluation, youth mentoring, presentations, and public speaking throughout tribal communities.
Her work is deeply rooted in her spirituality and empathy, driving her passion for making the communities and individuals she collaborates with feel acknowledged, understood, and celebrated. A significant portion of her projects involves working closely with youth. She cherishes these opportunities to learn from them and holds a profound trust in the potential of the rising generation. Brighten's commitment to her work is a testament to her dedication to fostering a sense of belonging and celebration in every community she touches.
