ASHLEY SOLHEIM-AZURE

Community Recovery Support Specialist

Ashley Solheim-Azure, was born and raised in Wolf Point, MT. She spent over a decade of her life battling addiction. Her story is filled with grief, trauma, treatment, relapses, and even a federal prison sentence. Thankfully her story did not end there. Her journey has since been filled with healing, forgiveness, and an incredible passion to help others who are struggling. She is the mother to her two children, Karver and Kazzley. Ashley currently works as a peer support specialist for the Medication Assisted Treatment Program at the SpottedBull Resource Recovery Center. Ashley is a co-facilitator for a culture-centered indigenous recovery program based on the Fort Peck Reservation. She currently holds her addiction counselor licensure candidacy through the state of Montana. She has graduated with multiple associate degrees including social work, chemical addiction studies, psychology, construction, and drafting and design technology. Ashley will also be pursuing her bachelor’s degree in social work through the University of Montana, 2+2 distance learning program in the fall. When she is not working or playing with her children, you can find her in the woodshop where her best friend/Grandpa taught her how to use his tools to create one-of-a-kind wood projects. Today she is grateful to be considered part of the solution in her community instead of part of the problem like she was before.
